MCP Server

Connect Claude, Cursor and other MCP-compatible AI tools to your ThriveStack data. Ask questions in plain language and get answers from the same numbers your dashboard shows.

Overview

Add one URL to your AI tool, sign in once, and ask about your business. Your assistant answers from your live ThriveStack data: revenue, marketing performance, product usage and accounts, in the same numbers your dashboard shows.

Server URL
https://api.app.thrivestack.ai/mcp
Streamable HTTP OAuth 2.1 Personal Access Token

What you can do

Works with Claude, Claude Code, Cursor, VS Code, Windsurf, Gemini CLI and any other MCP-compatible tool.

Track revenue

MRR, ARR, net revenue, plans, contracts, customer lifetime value and goals, plus what moved MRR and which customers drove it.

Understand marketing

Traffic, channels, campaigns, sources, paid ads, site content and lead quality, with the revenue each channel brings.

Follow product usage

Active users and accounts, activation, retention, stickiness and feature adoption, month by month.

Review accounts

Account lists and segments, at-risk accounts, and the full detail of any account: engagement, billing, users and CRM data.

Catch leakage and risk

Revenue missed to failed payments, accounts drifting away, and the customers behind a churn spike.

Check setup and data health

See whether tracking and billing are connected, whether syncs are running, and whether billing customers match product accounts.

You can also create a saved account segment from a plain-language description. See Tools for the full list.

How it works

  1. Connect

Add the server URL to your AI tool. The setup guide covers each platform.

  2. Sign in

Authorize with your ThriveStack account using OAuth. Clients without OAuth support use a Personal Access Token instead. You only do this once.

  3. Ask a question

Ask in plain language. For example:

“What was our MRR movement last month, and which customers drove the churn?”
“Which channels brought the most signups in the last 30 days, and which turned into revenue?”
“Which accounts are at risk, and what changed in their usage?”

Where the numbers come from

The tools read the same figures as the ThriveStack app, so an answer from your assistant matches what your dashboard shows.

Product and marketing
The events and visits ThriveStack collects from your product and your marketing site. See Data Collection.
Revenue
The billing data you connect: Stripe, Chargebee, QuickBooks, the ThriveStack API or manually added data. See Stripe and Chargebee setup.
Accounts
Product accounts, linked to billing customers and to your CRM, such as HubSpot.
Currency
Money values are in your brand’s base currency, named in the currency field of each result.

If a number looks stale or missing, ask your assistant to check the setup status, the billing sync status and the customer mapping. Setup & Connection and Revenue Data Health have the tools for that.

Connection details

Your tool may ask for these details:

Server URL
https://api.app.thrivestack.ai/mcp
Transport
Streamable HTTP
Authentication
OAuth 2.1, or a Personal Access Token sent as an Authorization: Bearer header

Authentication

Two options, depending on what your client supports:

Personal Access Token

Alternative

Create a token under Personal Access Tokens in the ThriveStack dashboard, then send it as an Authorization: Bearer header.

Best for: clients without OAuth support (such as Windsurf and Gemini CLI), headless setups and CI.

With either method, requests respect the same permissions as your dashboard session, and your product and environment are resolved automatically. See the setup guide for client-specific steps.

Read and write access

Read-only by default. Every tool only reads your data, with one exception.

One tool can write: create_account_segment. It creates a saved account segment from a plain-language description, such as paid, trial or free accounts, an MRR or ARR threshold, or a plan. It does not edit or delete existing segments, accounts or billing data, and your AI client may ask you to confirm before it runs.

See Tools for the full list.

AI Visibility tools

The same server also has tools for AI Visibility (Cited By): how AI search engines mention and cite your brand, competitors, sources and content recommendations. They use the same connection. See the Cited By MCP docs.

Supported platforms

The ThriveStack MCP server works with any client that supports the Model Context Protocol. Choose your tool for step-by-step setup.
